At Fowler McKenzie Limited we believe that the safety of our employees is one of the most important parts of our business and we will not compromise safety in any way.

We are members of Scottish Building Employers Federation (SBEF), which gives us the facility to consult and use the vast knowledge base within that organisation.

We are also Full Members of The Safety Association of Federated Employers (SAFE), who monitor and report our on-site activities on a regular basis and are available to us for independent safety advice and guidance.  SAFE is a local organisation of like-minded contractors seeking to improve and achieve the highest possible standards in Health & Safety in construction.  Our Managing Director Phil McKenzie

was Chairman of SAFE.  Although he has relinquished his position after having served for 2 years.  Phil continues to be at the forefront for giving safety advise to the North and East of Scotland.

The local Paper Making Industries, in the setting up of a minimum standard for Contractors Health & Safety, consulted us for our opinion on this standard and on our suggestion the CITB Safety Passport was considered and adopted as the best way forward.

As a CITB in-scope company we are currently setting up On Site Assessment Training (OSAT) to achieve National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ's) for our employees, which will result in gaining the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) advocated and soon to be adopted by the major construction companies and the HSE.
